Animals | International Group Exhibition 2026

Open Call for Artists | No. 35 Gallery
No. 35 Gallery invites artists worldwide to submit work for Animal—International Online Group Exhibition 2026. This exhibition explores the presence, representation, and significance of animals across contemporary artistic practices, from wildlife, domestic animals, birds, and marine creatures to symbolic figures, imagined species, and conceptual interpretations of the animal world. Selected artists will present their work in a curated international online group exhibition hosted on the No. 35 Gallery website, supported by curatorial presentation and promotion through the gallery’s platforms.
Artists are invited to submit works inspired by, responding to, or engaging with animals in their many forms, including mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, domestic pets, farm animals, endangered species, mythical creatures, and other forms of animal life. Submissions may explore animal behaviour, movement, anatomy, habitats, human–animal relationships, ecological concerns, cultural symbolism, and the emotional or psychological connections between humans and other species.
The theme is intentionally broad and welcomes a wide range of approaches, including traditional animal portraiture, wildlife studies, abstraction, symbolism, surrealism, experimental image-making, personal narratives, environmental perspectives, and contemporary interpretations of animals in art.
We welcome submissions from emerging and established artists working across painting, drawing, photography, digital art, mixed media, sculpture, illustration, printmaking, and other visual art practices.
Animal seeks to examine how animals continue to shape our visual culture, collective imagination, and understanding of the natural world, offering artists an opportunity to reconsider the boundaries between human and non-human life through contemporary artistic expression.
Selected artworks will be featured in the international online exhibition, accompanied by a digital exhibition catalogue and promotional opportunities through No. 35 Gallery's website and social media platforms.
